Being humiliated in public can be a trivial mater, but it can also lead to people being constantly ridiculed, and shamed. The University of Texas at Austin’s Dr. David Buss states that fantasies to commit homicide are more common than we may think. Dr. Buss’ research has involved delving into over 400,000 FBI murder files and interviewing nearly 400 murderers. In a homicidal fantasy study with 5,000 individuals, he determined that 84% of women and 91% of men have had at least one clear fantasy about committing murder. Dr. Buss adds that luckily most people do not carry out homicidal acts that they’ve fantasized about, although a major reason for this is fear of getting caught.

Women will kill their husbands if they feel there is no other way out of a bad relationship. “Just when women feel as though they have successfully escaped a bad marriage is precisely the time when their lives are most in danger,” shares Dr. Buss. Domestic violence can cause women to go to extreme lengths to return to safety. They may be suffering domestic violence but unable to get a divorce for religious reasons and, so they resort to murder. Some women may not be suffering domestic violence but feel that their relationship has died, and are unable to get a divorce.

Husbands often kill their wives when they find out or believe they have been cheating on them. Women often cheat on their husbands if they feel under appreciated or un-loved. Men often don’t even consider the idea of their wife cheating on them and when they find out they rarely blame themselves. Cheating could cause someone to kill their spouse or spouses lover. The first emotion men most commonly feel after being cheated on is anger and some people just can’t handle the initial stage. If you catch you’re partner in the act then you are especially likely to react violently.

Millions of people trying to kill each other for no reason other than the fact that they are at war. Most wars are started to end violence but none have managed it.
