Real time travellers are something most people write off as silly nonsense, but the more open minded of us are willing to imagine it just might be true. Here is a list of 10 real time travellers who became famous for their deeds.
John Titor
John Titor became famous online when he wrote “Greetings. I am a time traveller from the year 2036. I am on my way home after getting an IBM 5100 computer system from the year 1975.” People began asking him questions about himself, and his time machine. He answered some of them, he even gave information on his time machine. “My ‘time’ machine is a stationary mass, temporal displacement unit manufactured by General Electric. The unit is powered by two top-spin dual-positive singularities that produce a standard off-set Tipler sinusoid.” Many began debating over whether he is actually a time traveller. He answered questions online for about 5 months before disappearing, at least from this time. This all happened in the year 2000, but he claims that his actual goal was 1975, which is likely where he disappeared to. He came from the year 2036, 21 years after an American civil war, which led to a nuclear war with Russia. His goal was to gather materials that could help them rebuild the country. Many people declared that he was one of the few real time travellers to have made contact with us.
The Time Travelling Hipster
The internet lit up a storm over a picture, which many claimed was conclusive proof of a time traveller. A picture from 1942 show a man surrounded by people wearing classic clothes of the time, but he, inexplicably, is dressed like a modern day hipster. He wears sunglasses that don’t fit the times, and a print T-shirt, which wasn’t even invented until years later. Some buzzkills claim that the T-shirt is actually a knitted jumper, and that the sunglasses weren’t uncommon for the time. Which is technically plausible. The video has been spread around as proof that real time travellers are out there.
Rudolph Fentz
Rudolph Fentz is a man, who was reported in the 20th century, to have randomly appeared in the middle of the street, with no explanation. He looked confused, and disoriented, as if he were unfamiliar with such surroundings. A taxi didn’t manage to stop in time, and hit him. The man, who looked to be in his twenties, died as a result of the accident. He was dressed like a man from the 19th century, and carried many objects from that time, which, mysteriously hadn’t aged. Captain Hubert V. Rihm, of the NYPD, used the information he found on his corpse to try and identify him. He went to where his house was, according to a letter he found on his body. But it had been turned into a business. He eventually found a man who had a similar name, and it turned out to be a family member of his. After going, and talking to many different family members, he learned that a 29-year-old man, named Joseph Fentz had disappeared, after going for a walk in 1876. The man they spoke about, exactly described the body of the man who died.
Charlotte Moberly and Eleanor Jourdain
Two Edwardian women, named Charlotte and Eleanor were looking for a garden, when they found themselves lost in a time slip. They had walked into a world, unlike their own, where people were wearing costumes of a completely different period. Here, they met a series of strange characters until one guided them out. Explanations for this range from madness to them accidentally wandering into a gay period costume party, and being freaked out by crossdressers. They described the world they saw as repugnant, and unnatural. They wrote about their experience in a book, which caused a sensation, and became a possible, famous case of time travel. It’s hard to say whether they both happened to suffer the same delusion, or whether it was real.
Chaplin’s Time Traveller
A mysterious woman, in an obscure bonus footage, from an old Charlie Chaplin film, allegedly proves time travel. If you look close enough, in the footage you can see an old lady, using what appears to be a phone, and holding it to her ear. She seems to be talking into a modern, phone. It was found by an Irish film maker, called George Clarke. He uploaded it to YouTube and it got millions of views. People began seriously debating whether there are real timer travellers or not. Many were convinced, and couldn’t find an explanation for it.
Billy Meier
Billy Meier is a respected UFO contactee and prophet, who has both met aliens, and Jesus, all in one trip. He claims he was taken into outer space by aliens from afar planet, who then took him to the past with their time machine, and allowed to meet Jesus, and take photos of some dinosaurs. He was abducted at the young age of 5, by a man of the Plejaren race, named Sfath. He stayed in contact with Sfath for 11 years, but after he died, presumably of natural causes considering his age, he came into contact with another alien. This was a female alien of a different race, called Asket. He met alien after alien, some of which he photographed. He went on to found a religious movement around these experiences.
Hakan Nordkvist
In 2006 a video was uploaded of Swede, Hakan Nordkvist. In the video he claimed to have been transported through time while trying to fix his kitchen sink. In the future, he ran into his future self, who was a 70 year-old-man, and apparently they had a blast. He showed a picture of him smiling with the old man, from the year 2076, and in the picture, they both had identical tattoos.
Father Pellegrino Maria Ernetti
Although not strictly a time traveller, Father Pellegrino Maria Ernetti, is said to have created a time machine that allowed him to see the future and the past, known as a Chronovisor. The claim was made by Father Brune, who described in his book, The Vatican’s New Mystery. Ernetti was an Italian priest and scientist, from the 20th century.
Bob White/ Tim Jones
Sometimes identifying as Bob White, and sometimes as Tim Jones, the enigmatic figure sent an uncountable number of emails claiming to be stuck in a time traveller. He did this for a period of two years from 2001 to 2003. People would randomly find the emails, in which he claimed to a time traveller stuck in the current year, and needed someone to provide him with a “Dimensional Warp Generator”. Mostly he went ignored, and may have feared he would never make it back to his time, but fate had no such thing in mind. One man responded, claiming to have the required materials. Another recipient, named Dave Hill, even set up a shop where people could buy the required material. The time traveller reportedly purchased his generator from that website.
Andrew Carlssin
Andrew Carlssin made 126 high risk bets, and won every one of them. He started off with $800 and ended with 350 million. He was arrested by the SEC for suspected violations, they likely suspected he cheated. He confessed to the crime… of being a time traveller, from 200 years in the future. He offered the investigators a cure for AIDS, and the location of Osama Bin Laden, in return for a weaker punishment, and to be allowed to use his time machine.
